The Libraboys outing group – origin

Some of you have ask me: What is “Libraboys outing group”??? I shall give a very brief description of LOG (Libraboys Outing Group) and how it evolves.

It started in the year 2007, when I was a volunteer in the Social Development Service (S.D.S. in short). I remembered in 1 of the activities, I’ve got to know some friends, who were also keen in organizing activities (however, they were not SDS volunteers). One of them, who is good in the internet, came with the idea of forming a outing group. Hence, he roped me in, + another guy, & together we formed an outing group. Coincidentally, the 3 of us were born in the month of October. Hence the name, ‘Libraboys Outing Group’ (October Astrology sign).

The 3 of us, each have our individual strength. The IT savvy guy helped set up a website (with the name LOG). I was keen in organizing adventurous activities, & the third guy was good in planning & speech (as he was related to the army). Together, we would think of wacky activities, short overseas trip, dining, ktv, cycling, chalet, gathering, etc, etc. We would propose to one another our ideas before executing the activity. Most of the time, the activities that we organized were successful, with 95% attendance.

As time goes by, one of the Libraboys got himself a lifetime partner. Also, we saw more couples forming out of our group. The enthusiasm to organize activities died down. The group became dormant after about 2 years. We still keep in contact with one another now, but not as frequent as before. Those were the days of the emerging fun, organizing activities, etc.

Changes in Kuala Lumpur buses/coaches terminal

Hi diary, I had just came back from Kuala Lumpur (KL in short. Capital of Malaysia.), & there are some stunning changes in the buses/coaches terminal which I would like to pen them down:-

For many years, buses/coaches that travel to various state of  peninsula Malaysia (eg: Penang, Terangganu, Johor, Seremban, Muar, Desru, Genting, Mersing, etc) start from Puduraya bus terminal (near KL chinatown). It was only about two year ago that this terminal underwent a major renovation. I was told that the completion date (for a new Puduraya bus terminal) would be end of 2010. Hence all buses/coaches shifted and start from Bukit Jalil (Olympic stadium (Selangor)).

Following the completion of the new Puduraya bus terminal (Hentian Puduraya), Bukit Jalil bus terminal ceased operation (since 16th April), and there is also a new bus terminal (newly constructed – called TBS (Terminal Bandar Selatan)) @ Bandar Tasik Selatan (interchange station to KTM commuter, KLIA, Rapid KL). These 2 bus terminals: Hentian Puduraya & TBS serves various states of Peninsula Malaysia. The difference between the 2 terminal is: Hentian Puduraya serves the northern Peninsula Malaysia (Genting, Penang, Kuala Terangganu, Ipoh, Perak, Perlis, etc), while TBS serves the southern Peninsula Malaysia (Johor, Muar, Mersing, Melaka, Desaru, etc).  Both terminals are well built, well renovated, & make one feels like he/she is in a small scale airport. There are travelators, well lit area, numerous eateries (food court, cafes, kiosks) – a very big change from the past (the old Hentian Puduraya bus terminal). Do look out for these changes if you are going to Kuala Lumpur.

Nobody can read each other mind

Communication is important in our daily life. It is part & parcel of what holds a relationship, family, friends, business, colleagues, etc together. Without communication (either online or offline), one is like living on his own, shut off from the outside world & doesn’t care about the happening. Likewise, when we want something done/ask for something/inform someone something, do let another party know , either communicating verbally, pen it down on paper, call the person, communicate thru the internet, etc. Remember that no one in this world is able to read your thoughts. This can be rather scary, as when a person assume that you will do something (without even communicating with you), & you also assume that he/she will know something would be done – this result in nothing carried out. Assumption is wrong, in most instances. So is “nobody is able to read each other mind’. Hope that this message will get across to everyone. Thanks.
